According to the 2017 Cone Communications CSR Study, 87% of Americans would purchase a product because that company stood up for or advocated for an issue that they care about (see the study's infographic). Many statistics like the ones outlined in this study, tell us that the bottom line is affected by you or your business' involvement in the community. Giving and appreiciation within your community adds up. How can the Hanvoer Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) help you get more involved in the Upper Valley communtiy?

#1 Volunteer or Participate in an Event

Volunteering at an event is an added personal touch. While paying for a sponsorship can give you great visibility in the community, the person-to-person presence builds a lasting impression. Don't underestimate the power of personal. Many of our events require a lot of people power to come together. Being on a committee, helping with set-up, tear down, or just being a part of the event, can create valuable connections not only with the public attending, but with others involved in making the event happen. Consider how you can volunteer or participate in communtiy events like, Celebrate the Season, Art in the Park or the Upper Valley Health & Wellness Fair. An added benefit that comes with participation in some of our events is your logo and/or organization publicized on a vairety of print and digital media.

    #2 Sponsor an Event

When you become a sponsor, you show your willingness to serve the community on which your business depends. Many times your sponsorship is publicized via your logo and/or link to your website via social media, on the chamber website, banner at event, and/or on posters, flyers and/or newsprint ads. This has a wide reach and provides a great deal of positive press for your company. Can't afford a sponsorship? Perhaps you can provide an in-kind sponsorship and provide something that is needed for the event. Leadership Awards are a great way to show support for those who get out and make a difference in our communtiy; consider either sponsoring a award recipient or take out an ad in the program to show your appreciation.

    #3 Attend an Event

HACC Business After Hours are not only fun, but enable our membership to form relationships with others in our community. But it doesn't stop with the Business After Hours. We hold many events throughout the year. The Leadership Awards is a great way to connect and show your support for those who have worked to make our community a better place to live. The HACC Referral Group is great for networking; discover what a valuable tool the group is by attending one of the meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Stay informed about upcoming events, by signing up to our newsletter - and, of course, we always love visits to our chamber office to catch up with you.
