Please join us on July 16th from 5:00PM to 7:30PM for the next program in the 99 Faces series. This program is entitled: Workforce Challenges-When Mental Health Concerns Impact Employees and How Employers Can Help
Mental health challenges and substance use disorders are impacting our workforce, our communities and our families more than ever before. New Hampshire and Vermont have two of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. Local businesses are struggling to find and retain workers and many positions go unfilled. With qualified workers in our midst who may be facing mental health challenges it is important to explore how to support qualified prospects and existing staff who may addressing mental health challenges to ensure that we don’t lose them from the workforce. This 99 Faces program will explore the challenges employers face in addressing behavioral health and substance misuse in the workplace and methods for supporting employees who are facing those challenges.
The program will take place at Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s main campus in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Beginning at 5PM, “99 Faces Project” artist, Lynda Michaud Cutrell, will be on hand to discuss the exhibit and will be available for tours until 5:25PM. The program will then move into Auditorium H and will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. Opening remarks will be made by John Broderick, Senior Director of External Affairs for Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Former NH Supreme Court Chief Justice. Tricia Soule, the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts, will speak to the critically important intersection of the arts, business and health.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Aimee Giglio, will emcee and moderate. Featured speakers for this event include: Tom Raffio, President and CEO of Northeast Delta Dental; Stacey Chiocchio, Community Citizenship Manager at Hypertherm and President of the Board of the Upper Valley Haven; Matt McKenney, Hypertherm employee, member of Hypertherm’s Substance Use Disorder Taskforce, Representative on the Governors Recovery Friendly Workplace and Advisory Council and Board member of Headrest; Jackie Mitchell, Director of Operations at WS Badger and Melissa Chase Levesque Folsom, PsyD, MA, Live Well Work Well Primary Care, Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
