Join Co-op Food Educator Lindsay Smith at the Culinary Learning Center for a fun, hands-on class as we explore cooking with spirits and how to use different alcohols to create great flavor! (We will even drink a little!)
We will start with beer in the appetizers by making beer-steamed clams and mussels and a cheese fondue with beer. Then move on to the wine for our main course with dishes such as white wine-braised chicken thighs and lentils with red wine and herbs. And of course we can't forget the spirits AND... who doesn't want to flambe! So we will get out the torch and make bananas flambe for dessert!
