WOODSTOCK, VERMONT . . . Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont’s rural heritage, is featuring Heritage Chicken Day on Saturday, August 18, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A variety of heritage chicken breeds will be featured, including threatened and rare breeds like the Blue Andalusian and Buff Laced Polish. All are protected breeds of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, a nonprofit membership organization working to conserve over 180 historic breeds of livestock and poultry and maintain genetic diversity.
