Mitchell Zeller has had 36 years of experience with FDA tobacco issues. issues. He graduated from Dartmouth in 1979 with a double major in Government and Policy Studies. He subsequently earned a law degree from American University. Prior to serving as Director of the FDA"s Tobacco Center, he was senior vice-president at Pinney Associates, where he provided strategic planning and communications advice on domestic and global public health policy issues involving the treatment of tobacco dependence and the regulation of tobacco products and pharmaceuticals. From 1988 to 1993 he served as counsel to a subcommittee in the House of Representatives that did oversight of the FDAFree and open to the public.
