Task Forces/Work Groups

You'll see here a list of our active task force/work groups. Should you wish to attend one of their meetings, please email or contact us and we can make all the arrangements.
  1. Membership Group Mission: to oversee the functions of the Membership Group Components and to evaluate the effective of work based on pertinent items included in the Program of work.

    Membership Group Components:
    • Ambassador Group Mission: to serve as the Chamber's social and "welcoming" arm with responsibility for assisting with HACC events, for promoting "good will" as a liaison between HACC, its membership and the general community, and for helping to enhance membership development and retention.
    • Membership Advisory
      Mission:
      to plan and implement strategies and programs to enhance the quality and value of Chamber membership; to periodically review and evaluate member benefits and services, and the membership categories and fee schedule, and to make recommendations to the Executive and Finance Committee.
    • Business Education
      Mission:
      to establish, organize and implement a Business Education Program to include an annual series of forums and seminars on timely issues and pertinent business subject matters for the benefit of the HACC membership.
  2. Marketing and Communications Group Mission: to plan, develop and implement a variety of communications strategies and vehicles to build and maintain a positive image and presence within the community, and to oversee HACC-wide marketing programs including regional and national advertising, the affiliation with the Partnership for Upper Connecticut River Valley Tourism, Inc. and the Scenic By-Ways Program.
  3. Events Evaluation Group
    Mission: to plan, organize, budget and implement the HACC's annual Golf Tournament for the enjoyment of members and guests and to provide income in support of the organization's operating budget; to provide information as to the results of current year event to the Events Evaluation Task Force as may be requested.

    • Golf Tournament Task Force
      Mission:
      to plan, organize, budget and implement the HACC's annual golf tournament for the enjoyment of members and guests, and to provide income support organization's operating budget; to provide information as to the results of the current years event to the Events Evaluation Task Force as may be requested.
    • HomeLife Joint Task Force
      Mission:
      to serve as an event review and evaluation entity in conjunction with representatives from the Greater Lebanon Chamber of Commerce to enhance the marketing, operations and financial aspects of the show to ensure its viability and continuing success.
    • Annual Meeting Task Force
      Mission:
      to plan, organize and implement the Annual Meeting of the Corporation to include but not limited to an event reception, dinner, business meeting, entertainment, guest speaker and Citizen of the Year Award presentation.
  4. Downtown Marketing Group (DTMG) Mission: to serve as the HACC's operations arm for members in Hanover's Central Business District (CBD); to plan and implement CBD events, activities programs and promotions to provide member benefits and services; to stimulate the economic vitality, and to promote a strong and vital community.
  5. Governmental Affairs Group Mission: to review, evaluate, update and maintain the official documents of the Corporation including Bylaws, Administrative Policies and Procedures, Personnel Policies, Conflict of Interest Policy and the Nomination and Election Process.

  6. Executive Committee Mission: to act on behalf of the HACC's Board of Directors to make certain determinations in the interim of the Board of Director's meetings, to keep abreast of activities and issues surrounding the business of the Corporation by using authority consent with the policies and direction of the Board.

    Executive Committee Components
    • Finance Mission: to oversee the Corporation's financial operations and record-keeping, and prepares and submits state and federal annual corporation reports and tax returns; coordinates with the Planning Task Force and fund annual Program of Work; completes an annual budget process to provide recommendations to the Executive Committee and the Board of Director's.
    • Planning
      Mission:
      to review and evaluate the mission and direction of the organization on an annual basis, and to complete a planning process to provide recommendations to the Executive and Finance Committees for a Program of Work for the upcoming fiscal year.
    • Nominating Mission: to review, evaluate, and interview current and potential officers and directors to develop a proposed slate of officers and directors for election at the Corporation's Annual Meeting in the fourth quarter in each calendar year.
    • Personnel and Organizational Structure Mission: to evaluate, on an annual basis, the performance of the executive staff personnel and the direction of the organization relative to its mission and goals and objectives as provided in the Program of Work; to solicit input on staff and organizational matters from members of the Board of Director's.
